Need to dump some money into a bottomless pit? Invest in Bearbricks. These things are fucked up. You can be tempted into buying a million of these, but in the end where do you figure to put them? On display to collect dust? The idea of toy collecting isn’t the most appealing thing I can think of to put money in. Maybe because they’re toys that sit and stare at you.
But these look dope, a nice change from all these designer collaborations. You know what I’m talking about, those empty Bearbricks with just a logo of the label, although some of the plain ones do look pretty crazy.
Daft Punk guys, Daft Punk.

M65 Jackets look pretty dope too – not the one linked, I hate the logo on the side – but they have nothing to protect me from the rain.
It’s been a while since I’ve updated, but not much has happened since my last post. Stressing the fuck out, completely shut in at home and at school, 4-5 hour nights, etc… the usual mad dash to the final days of the semester. Posting randomly here seems like the only respite I have these days.
I’ve got this unopened box for the game World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King sitting right next to me. It’s been there since November when I stood in line until midnight waiting for this thing. My whole plan of reselling it for a substantial profit pretty much failed, so now once school is over I’m thinking about putting some work into it. Harmless activity or poor life choice?
Oh and I was locked up in my basement for a couple of hours today. Fun times.
I wanted to add this in before I go to bed – almost 3 AM fuck – but one of my favorite artists in Luke Chueh – responsible for that kick ass new Fallout Boy album artwork – is having a show this week on the 20th at the Corey Helford Gallery, showcasing some new works he’s done. I’ve already got a print coming my way of his ‘Disintegration‘ original – too poor for the actual painting – though I’ve been jonesing for a canvas print of one of his works for a while.I don’t know why but shit on canvas just strikes me as a ‘I can’t believe I own this’ kind of thing. The ‘Guitar Hero’ print if it’s available might be that missing piece of my soul. While I’m not a Guitar Hero player by any means, any connection to my embarrassing video game addiction receives some props from me. In fact, looking at this link, I don’t think I can argue for not getting any of his new shit.

What the fuck. In celebration of Ken’s 50th anniversary, Alexis Mabille releases the Barbie “Ken” Bow Tie. The question I’ve got to ask is how a dude would be able to pull this shit off. Regardless, I know some people who would actually buy this just to get some laughs out of people.
Ingenious or just fucked up?

If you do not understand the significance of this, do the math: the world will change come this summer. I am still stoked, weeks after the news dropped.
